Apply online after you complete the IBHBOT course, including its end-of-course exam. Apply for the credential your license qualifies you for. The IBHBOT board examination is a separate exam you take once the board approves your application.

Holders of a current credential from NBDHMT, IMCA or another recognized board can apply for the equivalent IBHBOT credential.

What Happens After You Apply

  1. Submit the application and feeUpload your certificate of completion, a government-issued photo ID, and your license if you hold one.
  2. Eligibility reviewThe executive director reviews your documents. Review is usually completed within 10 business days.
  3. Approval or denialIf approved, you receive access to the board exam by email. If denied, you are told why and your fee is refunded in full.
  4. Take the board examThe exam is online and timed. You take it on your own schedule within your authorization window.
  5. Result and registryPassing candidates are issued the credential and listed on the public registry.
