Renew a Credential
AHT, RHT and DMT credentials renew every two years. Renew before your expiration date to keep your registry status current.

Lapse and Reinstatement
| Status | What it takes to reinstate |
|---|---|
| Up to 90 days past expiration | Renewal requirements plus the late fee |
| 90 days to 12 months | Renewal requirements, late fee and 12 additional specialty CE hours |
| More than 12 months | Pass the examination again; RHT holders also submit current practice hours |
A lapsed holder may not use the credential until it is reinstated. IBHBOT audits a random sample of renewals each year; keep CE certificates and practice records for one full cycle.
